OTTAWA, October 28, 2010 – Solace Systems, the leading provider of messaging middleware appliances, today announced the appointment of James Powell, executive vice president and CTO at Thomson Reuters, to its board of directors.

Prior to his current position, Powell has held a number of senior leadership positions within Thomson Reuters, as well as with Citadel Investment Group and TIBCO. His current charter as CTO focuses on bringing scale to Thomson Reuters’ systems, shared services and information.
