Adding Solace Middleware to SAP HANA® Cloud Platform Will Help Customers Embrace Cloud Computing to Enable Big Data and Internet of Things Strategies
Ottawa, Ont., July 15, 2015 – Solace Systems announced today that SAP will be using Solace’s next-generation messaging middleware in upcoming releases of its cloud-based integration service. The integration of Solace’s message router technology into SAP HANA® Cloud Platform is intended to help enterprises more easily take advantage of big data, cloud computing and the Internet of Things.
Moving enterprise IT systems to the cloud increases the volume and volatility of information they send, receive and share. The increasing demand for real-time big data amplifies this effect, as does the desire to link sensors and control systems as part of the Internet of Things. Cloud integration service providers need scalable, cost-effective ways to mitigate these effects.
SAP HANA Cloud Platform includes a dedicated integration service called SAP HANA Cloud Integration that is designed to connect applications, business partners and devices as part of end-to-end business processes running in the cloud. Augmenting that service with Solace’s high-performance message router technology will help customers realize distributed hybrid cloud connectivity, while also helping to meet the unprecedented scale and throughput requirements of big data and Internet of Things initiatives.
The solution offers high throughput, high availability and peak load capacity for thousands of tenants to support some of the most demanding distributed applications. Integration into SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and deployment directly in the data centers hosting SAP cloud solutions, will help enable customers to connect business processes with virtually unlimited numbers of end points without having to plan, implement, integrate and operate the individual components of the infrastructure.
“SAP has long been known for providing excellent solutions and value, and we’re proud to be working with the SAP team as they help customers embrace these truly transformational architectures and trends, ” said Craig Betts, CEO of Solace Systems. “We’re working together to integrate SAP HANA Cloud Integration, the SAP HANA platform and our message router technology to help create a seamless customer experience.”
“SAP integration solutions such as SAP Process Orchestration help more than 8, 000 customers in many industries run their most critical business processes, which requires integration of their SAP systems, third-party applications, business partners and devices, ” says Gunther Rothermel, senior vice president, Products and Innovation Technology for SAP. “With Solace middleware, we anticipate that SAP customers can take advantage of a pre-integrated architecture for leveraging SAP software and cloud services to help tackle challenges such as the Internet of Things and enabling big data movement in a digital world.”
SAP plans to release the first integrated service as an option for SAP HANA Cloud Integration by the end of 2015.
