Solace Event Broker is available in three form factors: a cloud-managed service, an appliance, and software. All brokers are functionally equivalent, fully interoperable, and can be managed from a single pane of glass. Brokers can also be easily linked to form a global event mesh.

    Cloud

Solace Event Broker is available as a managed service within Solace CLoud, A complete event streaming, management, and insights platform that’s available as a service in public, private, and on-premises environments.

Within Solace Clould, Mission Control gives you access to event broker services, while we do all the heavy lifting to deploy, upgrade, patch, and operate your service. It’s engineered to be secure, resilient, and cost-optimized so you can focus on building event-driven applications. In addition, you can manage your event broker services whether they are located in the cloud or on-premises, easily visualize and design event meshes, and centralize the management of your event-driven system.

    • Centralized Management: Design, deploy, and operate your entire event-driven estate from a single console, creating meshes, rolling out services in any environment, and monitoring health in real time.

    • Security & Control: Keep data sovereignty with exclusive control of encryption keys and root certificates, integrate console and brokers with your IAM and monitoring systems, and assign granular user permissions across Dev and Prod.

    • Peace of Mind: Depend on 99.99 % uptime, multizone replication, and an industry-leading SLA while Solace’s experts handle engineering, upgrades, and support, freeing you to focus on building microservices.

    • Optimize Costs: Mix-and-match pay-as-you-go and annual plans while Solace-managed orchestration accelerates time-to-value and continually tunes services to cut maintenance spend.

Considerations for Selecting a Form Factor

    • Infrastructure Requirements: Choose a form factor that aligns with your environment.
    • Operational Complexity: Cloud simplifies management; software offers control; appliances deliver max performance.
    • Scalability & Performance: Appliances excel in performance; cloud scales automatically; all form factors support queues.
    • Security & Compliance: Software/appliance offer direct control; cloud is SoC 2 compliant.
    • Cost: Balance infrastructure and operational costs across deployment models.
