Tom Manley Appointed Chairman of the Board
Ottawa, Ontario, September 14, 2016 – Solace Systems (“Solace”), a leading provider of data movement technology, today announced the appointment of David Barnes and Janet Perna to Solace’s Board of Directors. Solace also announced that Tom Manley, Senior Principal of Bridge Growth Partners, has been named Chairman of the Board, and Alok Singh, co-founder and Managing Principal of Bridge Growth Partners, has also joined the Board.

Barnes is a Senior Advisor to Bridge Growth Partners with extensive experience across the technology industry, including his former role as CIO and Senior Vice President for UPS. Under his leadership, UPS invested more than $1 billion each year in technology used to serve more than 220 countries and territories around the world. Barnes, who joined UPS in 1977, held roles in engineering, finance and information systems before being named CIO in 2005. Barnes is currently a Director of Ingram Micro and Hertz Global.
Perna is a member of Bridge Growth Partner’s Technology Advisory Board who brings considerable industry expertise having spent more than 30 years at IBM, the world’s largest information technology company. Most recently, she served as former General Manager of Information Management for IBM’s Software Group. Under her leadership, IBM was named the worldwide leader in database management software, and the group’s revenue increased by more than 150 percent. She is currently a Director of Cloudmark, as well as a member of the Foundation Board of Directors at the State University of New York at Oneonta, and a Founder of the Perna-Rose Foundation for Hope.
