Content-Aware Technology to Connect Product and Service Companies with Customers in Japan

Ottawa, Canada, March 5, 2007 Solace Systems, the leading supplier of content-aware networking equipment for service providers and enterprises, announced today that Mitsubishi Corporation is using the Solace VRS/32 content-aware router in the development of a content alerting and delivery platform to connect corporations and their customers through real-time product or service offerings.

Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan’s largest general trading company, is working with Net One Systems Co. Ltd. to develop an information delivery platform to push product or service offers to interested customers and users. The network uses Solace’s content-aware routers to deliver real-time information through a desktop application or, in the future, via cell phone. The network is currently being tested to alert consumer travelers about hotel vacancies across Japan.

“This new service highlights the creative innovation occurring in Asian networks as businesses and users embrace online lifestyle services, ” said Crispin Clarke, Senior Vice President, Global Business Development at Solace Systems. “Mitsubishi has established itself as one of the leaders in Japan’s move to content-aware networking technology.”

Using Solace’s VRS/32 content-aware router, Mitsubishi will be able to match user interest with real-time lodging information using unique high-speed content processing technology.  This flexible, content-aware networking technology makes it much simpler for network operators and service providers to commercialize new services for both business and consumer audiences.
