PubSub+ Event Portal 2.0
On October 4, Solace announced version 2.0 of PubSub+ Event Portal. The new release transforms the way architects and developers design, lifecycle manage, and govern event-driven APIs and applications across a variety of brokers, including Solace, Apache Kafka, Confluent and Amazon MSK.
The new version offers new lifecycle management capabilities, easier integration with software development tools, and the ability to create event APIs, among other things. Read this Event Portal 2.0 community summary post for all the relevant links to supporting content, like:

What’s Next with Ed and Ali – Episode 1
If you are wondering what projects are in development for Solace core and cloud products, “What’s Next with Ed and Ali” is the show for you! The series aims to provide a sneak peek into features before they hit the market, including lab projects, pre-releases and even some discussions on very early prototypes. It also features some early demos so you can feel confident in our roadmap and provide feedback on what you see.

Early Release of PubSub+ Support for Apple Mac M1 Chip
The wait is over! I’m excited to let you know that the early release of the PubSub+ container supporting Mac computers running Apple’s powerful new M1 chip is now available to our community members. With this early access release, you will be able to create an instance of PubSub+ on your M1-powered Mac using Docker Desktop. Check out the community post to learn more and get the download links.

In this section, I’ll review a few questions our community members asked this month that you may be interested in reading about.
- Community member soham wondered how to achieve message flow control in the node.js consumer for guaranteed messages. Tom Fairbairn helped to answer his three questions by suggesting an approach.
- Community member saipramod asked why when they tried to connect to a session, it was showing the exception “that object is disposed”. Nicholas Goodman answered the question and offered the remedy.
- Community member Navmi could not figure out why the destination of his received message was not showing as queue. Tom Fairbairn explained the reason, provided a solution, and pointed to our topic taxonomy best practices.
- Community member sdeveloper got a continuous error in his log file when he was using Spring Cloud Stream to send and consume messages with Solace VPN. Marc DiPasquale helped to analyze the situation and offered some options.
