Ottawa , Canada , February 16, 2006 -Solace Systems, the leader in VAS (value-added services) routing systems, announced today the appointment of Mr. Greg Heisz to the position of Senior Vice President Service Provider Operations. In his role, Mr. Heisz is responsible for all aspects of engagements with Solace’s service provider customers, including sales, delivery and support.

With over 20 years in the networking and communications industry, Mr. Heisz brings a wealth of experience in assisting large carriers to adopt new strategies based on disruptive technologies. Prior to joining Solace Systems, Mr. Heisz spent 12 years with Cisco Systems where he contributed first-hand to the mainstream adoption of IP routing by major global service providers. Most recently Mr. Heisz was the global client director for the BCE Inc. family of companies, including Bell Canada, one of Cisco’s top global service provider accounts. He was instrumental in Bell Canada’s successful deployment of IP technology, in the process making Bell Canada a world leader in IP/MPLS services for both its consumer and enterprise customers.
