The Solace PubSub+ Product is great. Solace makes messaging easy and seamless. Solace has made it even easier especially with the hybrid integration to the cloud. All the major projects that we have started in the past 12 years have all included technology from Solace.

We have installed a “Solace PubSub+ Brokers as a Service” platform in our Azure Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and the experience and feedback from our users have been great! The product offerings are reliable, fast, and innovative! "...a more seamless experience than other vendors... as well as more capabilities and more deployment options."

It is super important when you third-party software in a hybrid cloud environment to be able to choose where you deploy this software. With Solace PubSub+, I could as well deploy it in an on-prem environment, as in the Public Cloud datacenter of my choice. This gives you the right amount of control.

“Deployed in production for five years and have had zero downtime.“

Solace is definitely an “Enterprise” company in that they take customer support and the reliability of their product very very seriously – far more so than any strictly open source product. We have had a number of their hardware brokers deployed in production for five years and have had zero downtime. They basically just run and run with no drama – the best possible praise for a message broker.

Compared to other solution providers I’ve dealt with over the course of 20+ years, Solace has been the easiest to work with. Due to the scalability and performance issues we experienced with open source messaging solutions, I wish we would have discovered Solace about 3 years earlier.

What's really remarkable about the solutions we get from Solace is how much they unleash our capacity to do very high-throughput transactions... really at the speed of light.

COVID-19 has resulted in unprecedented trading volumes and volatility, but even as we’ve climbed from 65 billion messages a day to over 95 billion, we’ve had no outages or degradations in performance in our critical market data and messaging applications. Our Solace messaging and eventing platform took the data increases in stride.

"I've been running messaging systems for most of my career, getting on toward 16 or 17 years."

Solace is truly the best company that we have to deal with when it comes to tech support. In the role that I have I deal with about 100 different vendors, everything from market data exchanges to software vendors, through the likes of IBM and Microsoft, etc… 10 years later, Solace is still the only company where I have zero outstanding issues, or unknown items, or support tickets that they haven’t resolved.

“Given that my core strength is integration, I work with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Azure functions, then TIBCO. Based on our requirements, I found that the event-driven APA implementation with Solace was easier. Solace also has a top-notch solution for portal management and you register your producers, consumers, and preprocessing logic.”

"Solace has been incident free in HA deployment for seven years."

The idea that we can position Solace as a protocol-agnostic message transport fabric is key to our company having all manners of asynchronous messaging protocols from MQ, Kafka, JMS, etc. I really like the WAN optimization: Send once over a WAN, then distribute locally as many times as there are subscribers.

In my assessment of Solace against other products… I worked with multiple platforms like RabbitMQ, Confluent, Kafka, and various other tools in the market. But I found the event mesh capability to be a very interesting, as well as a fulfilling capability towards what we want to achieve from a digital-integration-strategy point of view.

"Solace compared to Kafka was a no-brainer"

Solace distinguished itself with topic building and scalabilty. When in cloud, you can quickly scale up. With Kafka, the challenge comes when you design a solution that has topic management. How do you make a topic discoverable? How do you define the dependencies between one topic and a subscriber? From a monitoring perspective, I also feel Solace has a better product.

We have seen at least a 50 percent increase in productivity (compared to using Kafka) when using Solace for the following use cases: Sharing changes in real-time; Onboarding new subscribers; Modifying data sets.

"The solution has increased application design productivity."

It is easy for architects and developers to extend their design and development investment to new applications using this solution… We compared a few messages bus solutions, like TIBCO. At that point, Solace came out ahead, both in throughput and probably cost.
