Hardware Platform to Accelerate Delivery of Data from Vendors to Subscribers

OTTAWA, January 5, 2010 – Solace Systems today announced a partnership with German-based BCC Group, a software development company focusing on the financial services sector. BCC has selected Solace’s Unified Messaging Platform (UMP) to deliver real-time market data to its Market Data Factory suite of products, which serve as an abstraction layer between data sources and a multitude of end applications. Through this agreement, BCC will resell Solace products in Europe as part of a joint solution.

UMP performs all types of messaging including ultra-low latency, high fanout, guaranteed message queuing, and WAN distribution, each with better performance, reliability and scalability than traditional middleware. Its hardware-based architecture is a perfect complement to BCC’s Market Data Factory by routing information from publishing data sources to receiving applications with microsecond latency, ensuring the speed and efficiency of in-house trading environments and at the same time controlling access through BCC’s entitlement firewall.

“BCC Group is one of Germany’s leading market data technology and software development consultancies. Their extensive experience gives them a deep understanding of the requirements of today’s banking infrastructure, ” said Larry Neumann, Solace’s senior vice president of alliances. “By using Solace technology as an infrastructure layer, BCC can assure traders that they are receiving optimal performance from their Market Data Factory-fed applications.”

Market Data Factory gives users access to all connected market data sources through one well-documented interface. It allows users to identify and subscribe to market data from many feeds, while making that data accessible to all applications, including Microsoft Excel. “Building customer-motivated solutions on top of market data providers’ feeds and APIs is a key part of our business, ” said Dagmar Kremer, director of business development, BCC Group. “We are committed to working with leading technology suppliers in our field, which is why we have made Solace a core part of our Market Data Factory suite of products. By incorporating Solace’s technology into our solution we have given MDF the speed and scalability to meet current and future requirements.”
